I had a cold last week. On the 7th day, I woke up and my right tear was plugged. About a hour later I had a lot of pain. So I went to the urgent care. The Dr. Prescribed me antibotics & pain killers. I have no more pain (thanks to god). But now both my ears are plugged. Any suggestions. I await desperiately for an answer. Thanks

ps. I've tried sudafed
rueda (an herb)
stone root tea
golden seal w/garlic oil
vicks w/garlic
heating pad

Plugged Ear
I have had the same problem, and the doctor prescribed alcoholic ear drops.
I had to pour 8 drops 2 times a day in both ears. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of this medicine, but it is certainly an alcoholic one and most importantly it works! At least it did for me. :)

HELP MY PLUGGED EAR!!
When I blow my nose my left ear gets plugged up, the left side of my tongue goes numb and there is a lot of pain in ear/head on left side and last for days and sometimes weeks!!
This happens all the time, no cold or anything!! Please someone tell me how to fix this problem and gets some relief???? I have had my ears checked and was told there is an imbalance in my ear pressure on left side and was told it could be allergies, but this only started about 1 - 1 & 1/2 yrs ago, I've had allergies forever...well awhile anyways -I'm 30 so 10 yrs I guess.
