Q: Nauseous Feeling At Nightime?
asked by: Mac Man on April 25th, 2007

I'm a 34 year old male in generally good health. About a year ago i used to feel sick not long after i got to sleep (about 12pm-1am) - i wouldn't be sick but after having several visits to the bathroom and several 'normal' stools later i would feel well enough to get back to sleep. This only happened about one day a week for about 8 weeks then stopped. However, I am getting the problem again. I am quite stressed at work at the moment and wonder if this is causing the problem? I eat fairly healthy and don't drink or smoke. Thanks for any help!

Nauseous at night
I too suffer from this. I feel fine all day and then when I get home and relax or go to bed I start to feel nauseous but no vomitting. Gravol does not seem to help at all. At first I thought it was due to alcohol as on a couple of occassions I had a few drinks but then it was happening on nights where I had nothign to drink (alcohol) and had not eaten anything heavy.
I feel it mainly right below my sternum. Is this still my stomach or is it into my duodenum...
Either way it is starting to effect my life as when I get this feeling I can't sleep and feel stressed and anxious.
