Q: Length of a Pregnancy...

Hi there!
Am new to this but I'm driving myself mad with dates and numbers and I was wondering if any of you can help me out?
I might confuse ye but I'll try to be simple!
This is my first baby...I'm 16 weeks! Well 16 weeks since conception with a due date of Oct 9! But my conception date is Jan 6 and if you count up that's just under 280 days!
This is the length of a pregnancy since LMP but at my 12 week scan my Gyno told me that the fetal age was 12 weeks which if you use the 40 week way of counting made me 14 weeks! So now if my baby is 16 weeks since conception...am I actually 18 weeks pregnant?
I am so tired of running this around in my head!
I hope you are all doing really really good and looking forward to chatting with other pregnant chicks!
Thanks for your help** Smile

You count from the 1st day of your last period.

I couldn't count from the 1st day of my last period b/c I ovulated on day 32 instead of day 12 or whatever, so if you know when you conceived just go back 2 weeks and add 40 weeks.
