Q: Cramping

I started to get pretty bad cramping this morning. I'm pretty sure I'm going to start in the next day. I don't know why I'm so upset. It's been 10 days since the start of my last bleed. That is the schedule I've been on so technically I'm due today, anyways. Crying or Very sad I'm just so upset. All I want to do is go home and cry.

Sorry, I just needed to vent.

I'm so sorry mc! I know how it feels. Man, that would really suck to bleed so freaking much. I'd be calling my doctor.

That's the frustrating part. I did call my doctor. I was assured that everything is fine and it just takes your body a while to adjust to discontinuing birth control. When I asked if it was normal to bleed so much, I was told, "If it continues on this schedule for 6 months we will bring you in to run some tests and make sure you are not becoming anemic." six months Rolling Eyes

It's not that I thought I would get pregnant right away. But, I am so moody all of the time because of it. It can just make it harder to deal with.

Im sorry Mc that you are having af so much. I think I would go insane if I had af that often. That is frustrating that your doctor expects you to put up with it for 6 months before they do any tests. I was told that I was anemic when I was about 10 years old. I still think I have a little bit of it still. Well maybe not so much now that I have been taking the prenatal vitamins, but before that, I would bruise so easily.

When we first started dating Dh and I used to play wrestle and one day he had "pinned me on the bed" Embarassed lol and he had his hands wrapped around my forearms above my head....anyways the next day I looked at my arms and I looked like someone had bound me with ropes or something. I had bruises all over. He felt so bad, he kept appologizing. he was so cute... I said oh that's ok, I bruise really really easy because I'm anemic. Needless to say, the play wrestling stopped.

I hope you get some regularity with your cycles soon.

Thank you for your replies.

I'm feeling a little better this morning. I still have horrible cramping but I haven't started bleeding yet. I'm sure it won't be long.

It's because I'm taking the prenatals that they don't think its necessary to run any tests sooner. I think it is taking so long to get back into the swing of things, because I started birth control so young and was on them so long.

I started bc when I was 16 and was on them until I was 24. I don't even remember what af was like when I came off it was so long ago. I do remember missing a few periods, so I guess I was opposite of you.

Hope you feel better!

I was 14 when I started taking b/c. So I think my body hadn't really had time to figure itself out yet.

So, I haven't started bleeding yet. Confused But I do have a absurd amount of discharge. I just wish I could figure out what is going on.

Maybe AF isn't coming. It could be ovulation that is causing the cramping. Is it EWCM that you are having?

Ok this is going to be tmi so the squeamish should not continue....

I'm not really sure if it's ewcm. Embarassed I always thought that was kinda watery? What I am having is large (quarter size) goobs/bloobs of clear almost gel like stuff. It is thick. I have never ever had this before. Embarassed

Can it stretch between your thumb and forefinger? If it can it is very possible you are getting ready to ovulate for the first time.

Oh, how exciting! I would be thrilled! The cramping is really bad and on both sides. That is why I never concidered it. Last time I had cramping like this I thought I was ovulating, and I started bleeding instead. So I'm trying not to get my hopes up. I guess I will just have to wait and see if I start bleeding.

I say forget about the waiting to see if you start... I think you need to get some candles and wine and do the deed!!!

Hopefully you are ovulating.

That makes me feel better! I haven't been able to get through the last 2 days without some painkillers either. That is the reason I was counting out the idea of o'ing. I just don't remember it hurting this bad. But I'm not complaining. I'll take what I can get!

Thanks so much for your encouragement!

Re:painful Ovulation
I was just reading mc and I wanted to tell you that i stopped taking birth control 3 months ago and when I started ovulating it was extremely painful for like 2 days. The only reason i thought I was ovulating was because I had that nice clear stretchy cm. My dh and I did the bd and it hurt because I was so tender but it ended up that it worked because I am now pregnant and I know that that is when I conceived. So after reading your posts it sounded very familiar to me so I just thought that I would tell you that it could really be possible for you this month.

Good luck and baby dust to you!!!!

Been Trying
hello i am new to this forum. someone told me that i should check you ladies out. my husband and i have been trying for3 months. i quit my bc in feb. i have been having some pains in my side and lower stomach area. i usually start my period as soon as i start cramping, but i haven't got it yet....suppose to start yesterday. i also got a yeast infec and read that that is sometimes caused by preg. i may just be over reacting since this is our first. i also just really need someone going through the same thing to talk to.we are not telling anyone that we are trying...not even my mom.. Crying or Very sad
