Q: Has Anyone Done This?

Well as you all know i'm still in school and i was wondering what i would have to do to set up a little support group in school where young girls can come and get info about sex, contraception, pregnancy etc, get condoms and everything like that. And if someone was to become pregnant they would have me, a teenage mother who wouldn't judge etc to talk to. So i was wondering if any of you have doen anything similar and how you got it started. I was thinking of going it like twice a week at lunchtimes or something once the new school year has started, that way i can still look after .mika and take her with me and it's gives me a chance to use my personal experience to help other people

I think that is an amazing idea. Go for it. Best of luck. I would first talk to your principle.

That does sound like a great idea. Maybe talk to a guidance counselor about the idea and ask for suggestions.

You can start by making flyers about it and having them passed out in home room or at lunch. It could also be something that the counselors refer students to.
