I've been on the patch for about 7 months now....And for a while I was experiencing depression and it was just brought to my attention that this could be the brith control....

I would love to know if this is true and any other information anyone has about birth control and depression cause I hate feeling like this and if its the hormones with the birth control I know what to do
thanks

Hiya,
sorry to hear you are feeling depressed meg. I know how hard it can be. I dont know much about the patch myself but I do know that after I was on the pill for a few months I got really depressed. After a few more months of depression that nearly cost me my relationship, I got switched to a lower doseage of the pill as my doctor said it the level of hormones musnt have been right for me. It did make alot of difference.

I guess if you think it is the patch, it might be too strong for you and you should see your gp.

Hope everything works out for you

Yeah, you may need a different hormonal level than what the patch is giving you. Maybe look into a pill or depo or something. But if you think it is from the patch talk to your doctor before you get worse!
