Q: What Sun Block Brands Are Safe? Quick Advice

for a pregnant woman? i'm almost 14-wk's & i'm off to the beach in less than an hour. i went yesterday & didn't think to use anything for protection. luckily, i didn't stay long & ended up with a very mild sunburn. i want to use sun block today & from here on out, just to be safe.

so i was wondering if i should buy a specific brand on sun screen because of the ingrediants, and chemicals? what did you girls use while pregnant?

thanks, greatly appreciated!

Any sunscreen is fine. Very little gets into the bloodstream, so your little one won't be exposed to it. Have fun at the beach!!!!

Hi, When I was expecting I used the Rona Ross range of sun products. Most off all the Sun Allergy Gel & The Prickly heat lotion, these are made in Greece and you can get them on line from a company called Makeup UK they are really helpful and the products are the best I have found!!!! they are here [removed- please do not advertise] Try them I am sure you will be impressed!!!

As long as retinol, retinyl palmitate, and others from this group are not on the list of ingredients, you are fine, as these can create birth defects
