From my experience The contractions hurt more than the baby coming out!

That was my motivation for going drug free. There was no pain worse than a contraction seconds before the baby emerged.

Except for the Dr. pulling and stretching my vagina to prepare for the head. I had to push through that to get over that pain!

I'd do it again a million times! So .becky you're not crazy!!!!

but didn't you see how smoothly and effortlessly the baby slipped out?

that video made it look way too easy.

i had a c-section though so maybe i can't comment.

after the shoulders come out, the baby literally falls out!! And it's quick!!

The head comes out, push out the shoulders(pending on size of the baby), and then bam! You have a baby!!

It really is as easy as the video shows.

It's the contractions they don't show! ha!!

Agreed - I quite enjoyed the pushing part - it was the hours of agonising contractions before hand that weren't fun Sad

in many cases, you can blame that on the epidural.

They push in their face and shoulders and not in their bottom. That's the reason many times they turn the epi off.

My last doctor told me I have a narrow birth canal. Confused He said that if I have a small baby I may be able to deliver naturally, but if the baby is average or large probably not. He didn't say I definitely would, but that I should prepare for it. Personally, I think the guy is a quack, that is why I switched doctors. Rolling Eyes
