Wow wow wow! They dye the river green in chicago on st patricks day! That amazing! My great grandma's family moved from ireland to chicago and she was born there.
Every year we have a huge parade in our city for paddy's day and last year some new york fire fighters that had served during september 11th (and all had irish backgrounds) came over and they marched and they waved at me and I cried. It was so moving.Im so soppy

Your not a freak about st patricks day. Have you ever been in ireland for st patricks day? Here they don't make such a big deal about it as in america, I would love to go to america for the holiday it would be so fun. Smile

I have never been 2 a st patricks day parade in ireland as I was told the birmingham parade is bigger and better then the dublin one.We have such a great day and everyones in high spirits (could be all the guiness!)
here's a fact: did you know there are more people in american with an irish background than the number of people actually living in ireland? Crazy isnt it?!
P.S. I'd love 2 go to america too but everyone knows that right?.......................Lol!
