I find that there are the random occasions
where my testicles become rather sore.
They seem to hurt even when I am just
standing around. There are also times
where only 1 testicle hurts, just my left
one. And sometimes they hurt after
ejaculation. And more often than not,
after i masturbate or my girlfriend does
that to me when I get an erection again my
penis hurts. The pain in my testicles has
been happening to me since I was 15 and am
now 20. I wonder if there is a major
problem or perhaps my body just can't
handle it. I've had testicle exams for
cancer lumps and check it myself as well,
but nothing like that. Any suggestions,
questions, or ideas? Please help.

meh, I don't know exactly what's the
problem. I've had pain in my testicles,
where it only last for a second and was
gone. I would bring this up to your doctor
on your next check up, and if it does get
worse or the pain gets more severe,
directly go to your doctor.
do you give yourself a testicular cancer
check, time to time, just to make sure
there are no lumps? this routine should be
performed often just to check yourself
once or twice a month. better safe than
sorry, right? right!

I do check myself for lumps every now and
then. Nothing ever out of the ordinary.
Mostly just smooth feeling I guess and I
can feel the veins. But for reference how
could a lump be desribed? Like larger and
more hard?

I would ask the doctor to be safe. The
doctor could also show you how to do a
self exam so that you know exactly what to
look for. Any pain or changes should
probably brought to your doctor's
attention.

That's good to hear, not many males do.
That's correct, it should be smooth and
has the feel of quite large sized veins. I
do believe from what I've heard is the
cancer is round, painless to the touch
(like you know how it feels a bit sore to
the touch...kinda like the pain when you
get kicked in the testicles...cancer does
not have a nerve to it so you wont be
feeling that pain that is received from
your testicles), which means if you were
to squeeze the 'lump' it wouldn't have a
sensitive feel to the touch, also don't
quote me on any of this, but I do believe
that it's a bit smaller than a testicle
itself, and I think it's a bit softer than
a testicle itself.
llewellyn, honestly it's not that hard to
feel around the scrotum. believe me.

You would think that, but so many men have
no idea how to check themselves! Same
goes for women. In high school, we had
these fake breasts and fake testicles with
lumps in them to practice giving ourselves
exams. I remember being surprised at how
hard I had to push in to feel the lump in
the breast.
I think the original poster should have
the doctor take a look anyway, so it
wouldn't hurt to ask more about self exams
when he is there since it did seem like he
had some questions about it.

Ahh yes, good times in freshmen
health...so long ago. I remember those
lectures and exams clearly.
To any males that come into this
thread, please note that us men Can get
breast cancer. Yes I know it's odd and
what not, but do ask your doctors for a
demonstration on both exams if you know
either one.
Llewellyn, is it, I still believe a
circular motion with the thumb that you
cover one whole side of the chest, and
then recover the same procedure with an
even more firm touch, and then for a third
time a even more heavily firm press; then
do the same on the otherside. Am I wrong?

Yup. I found sites about how to do both,
how often to do it, what to look for,
etc.
