Hi, 2 Weeks ago I found out that I was pregnant. Me and my Husband were over joyed at the news, as this would be our third child. Last week I decided to go to the Doctors, because something didnt feel right, I was sent for an ultrasound, and it was found that I had gestational Trophoblastic Disease. I had to go into Hospital and have a D&C done but no one seemed to be able to tell me anything more that what I have read on the internet. I just want to make sure that we are going to be able to have more children down the track.
The Hospital said they would call me in about 1-2 weeks when they have done the biopsy on the cells removed.
I need to know if I fell pregnant again in a couple of months that this wouldnt happen again. I need to know how likely it is to happen again.???

What is gestational trohpoblastic disease? Yes, I could go look it up but I think that posters should fully explain terms in their questions.

that's quite true.

congrats on getting pregnant...I guess, unless you lost it from this disease. sorry, this is the first time in a long time that I've been really confused about a disease.

It's always good to hear some people attempt to have a child or children, and that they're intended pregnancies; not the accidental teenage mothers cliche. I for one, was a mistake. Razz

I believe she did have to give up the pregnancy due to the disease.

ah...alright, that's sad; I'm sorry to hear, if that is what it came down to. I kinda got a feeling that's what was said. It can get oftely confusing if some people aren't specific. no hard feelings karilyn. I hope you get your chance at a healthy third child! ...and Good luck! : )

highly irrelevant...they need to fix the emots. which ever. sorry haha.
