Hello, my husband and I are in the process of adopting his little three year old grandson. Well, his foster family told us there were problems with his legs and a lot of falling down.
We had him evaluated twice. He has extreemly flat feet that turn inward. He also has knock knees. Recent evaluation showed that he has very weak muscles.
We are suppose to put him in therapy now for three months. If nothing changes then we take him back again to find out why.

What are the early signs of MD??? I know something is not right with the way he walks and runs. Sometimes when he falls he has trouble getting up. He seems to run with slight tip toes sometimes. He is like a stuffed animal. Soft. Not like other three year olds we are around. He cannot climb very well. He tries and sometimes makes it up ladders but most the time he falls. He has a lot of trouble up and down the stairs.
