Q: Strange Periods

hi i have been on the pill for many years and i have always got my period on the same day. My periods have always been light. However over the last few months my periods are pretty much nonexistent. i have about 3 days of thick brown blood which i presume is old blood, then one or two days of reddy brown blood. This is very different for me and i just want to know if this is normal. My doctor didn't seem to worried. I'm a healthy person with no stress or weight loss. Any help would be appreciated.
cheers

You could be pregnant, or this could be a normal development of the pills and your body.

Hi Twobit,

This is maybe the cause of the Pills that you are taking..Just always remember that monthly period takes place after 28 days for normal periods..And if your doctor tells you your ok, maybe he is right..The only worst there is that when hadn't got a period for about 1 to 2 months..That is maybe your are pregnant.

Just try to observe every month..And I Hope that all will going to be fine.

God Bless you

Always,
Ann

Hey I also have had strange periods also. Here's how it goes.My period is usually 28 days apart. But in March it 27 days and in April it was 32 days apart and this month it was 31 days. Now would I consider it being late or because I'm getting older that my body is changing my CD?Any help would be great. A late period is usually a one-time thing. A lengthening cycle may be normal depending on your age. How old are you? I am 22 and off the pills, my cycle was near 35-40 days long.

I'm 24. I'm pretty sure i'm not pregnant, because i have been experiencing for about 9 months and no baby/baby bump. It goes normal,, then back to strange periods. People i have spoken to have told me that because my periods are light anyway, the old blood stays there and the fresh blood cant come through until old blood has gone. And because my periods are light, by the time the fresh blood should come through, my period has stopped. Does this make sense? It could be the pill. I have been on the same one since i was 13 because i used it to make my period regular (i got my period every 14 days before i went on the pill). Thanks for your responces. I appreciate it!
Cheers
