I acually noticed, that when there are new posts it is orange. That makes it a lil easier. I like the layout of the forum. Another forum I visit a lot is powered by "invision power board"(i think is the name). It's a whole different layout but when you are a registered member to the forum there is a link for view new posts and it will show you all the new posts since your last visit all on one page then you can go to the topics you want without scrolling through the whole index.
