Ok, so *finally* I'm at .baron's moms house and I've got the pics of the house that I took!!!

I posted them as it would appear if you were to walk in!

Ok, here they are!

Our little garden(baron covered up the black hose, he said it looked "trifflin")

Me. Posin like a tard on the porch!

Me & .baron cheezin it up on the porch!

Ok, view from front door!

View looking *at* the front door. We're turning one of the bedrooms into an open living area.

The bathroom!

Shelves in the bathroom!

This is gonna be .oni's room!

Her own lil mantel(wanna be! We're gonna add a shelf for some frames!)

this is a bad shot of what's to be *our* room. We're debating on swapping with .oni...but it's a shotgun house, and our bed would get in the way of the walking path.

Da kitcheeen!

Me, scrubbin the tuub!!

Ok, we're off to the new house!!!

Please, show more pictures when you have it all decorated!! I also love the tile in the bathroom and kitchen. It really looks like a comfortable place and it has some character!! I have usually lived in houses that are in neighborhoods with cookie cutter homes. Absolutely no personality!!

We are currently renting a home and before we moved in, one of the rooms was painted very cute .... for a girl. It had purple, pink and yellow checkered walls on one side. The property management company painted over the checkered part but left the other sides purple and pink. Nate calls it the silly room!!! He first hated the pink but now likes "his" silly room. Pretty funny. Sorry - my little tangent.

Thanks everyone!!! We have *some* furniture moved in, not much, but I'll take new pics tomorrow!!

Yall made me blush! Embarassed I've lost about 15lbs in the past 2 weeks (I should have don't that *before* getting my dress altered Rolling Eyes ) lol!!

I have the cable company and the gas man coming out tomorrow! Excitinggg!

But one thing, every single time I go to the house, or get out of the car to walk up the steps, I get this *intense* tension headache on my right side. I thought it was, well, I didn't know what it was. But tonight, as soon as we pulled up and unlocked the door, my neck tensed up!

Many many many people died in my neighborhood, and in the houses around us because of .hurricane .katrina. I haven't asked if anyone died in this one though. I kinda don't wanna know....

What do You guys do for a living? I live in California and I cant afford to live in a house. Except my grandparents who raised me... I live in a one bedroom- apartment and pay $1500.00 per month for rent! Shocked

It's beautiful.
I love how open and bright it is.
What does a "shotgun" house mean? I've never heard of the term before.

Oni's little mantel is sweet. Are the walls around it on an angle, like it's in a bay/alcove? that's cute if it is. I had an alcove in my bedsit, years ago,
didn't have a mantel though - I used to put my bed in it Smile

I'm gonna take a swing at this but I am not positive so please correct me if I am wrong...

I believe it is called a shotgun layout because it is kinda long and narrow. It is said if you shoot a shotgun in the front door it will go straight through the house and through the back door. They are set up like that so you can open the front and back door and get a good breeze through the house or else it gets to hot.

Will you be able to open the doors or is it to humid there?

Yeah, 15 lbs will probably change the way your dress fits. If you have a good seemstress they will be able to do so simple fixes to make it fit great. The length is what takes so long. Once thats done, everything else is smooth sailing. As long as they know what their doing.

There is medicine for tension headaches. You should talk to your doctor. You have alot going on right now. I would be shocked if you weren't getting headaches.

That is a beautiful house. The floors are beautiful.
Did it have any damage from the hurricane?

Is it close to where you live now? I know you had issues with your neighbors and their dogs barking a while back, do you still have close neighbors? Is it a lot bigger than what you are used to?

A lot of questions.

Congrats!!! Moving sucks!!

You are very pretty!! You'll be a stunning bride!

Thanks .nancy, .megg & .tanya!! Oni gets her posing from her mommy! Ha!

I love the house, but I Hate all the hold ups!!! We were supposed to be *moved in* on the 4th of April! What the hellll!??!?! lol, but it'll be worth the wait.(we will *not* be giving the landlord a *dime* for may!)

Rene, as of now, I don't do *sh;t*! I'm in the .esthiology field, and plan on working at a spa/dermatology office once I get married. OUr rent is 850 a month(which is a *steal* for .new .orleans, as every other 3 bedroom runs about 1600)

Kia, thanks!! I love the fact that we won't have to turn the lights on during the day, we've got 12 windoes in all through the whole house!
Mc is right about the term "shotgun" house! lol...it's a part of .new .orleans. 99% of the houses are "shotgun" houses.
yea, the walls are on an angle. I think we're gonna put .oni's bed there! So we can see her from the front!

Mel, honestly all I've been doing is walking my dog! ha! I walk her on the nuetral ground(median), where the gras is reaaaally soft and it's like speed walking on sand! Feeeeel the burn!!

mc(sorry I keep forgetting your name!!!), my dress was actually really snug. So now I'll actually be able to breathe! ha!! It's a size 16, but they run huge! ANd it was extreemely depressing that I was barely fitting in it..
you haven't experience heat until you've visited .new .orleans mid june, july, & .august!! Geeezzzuuusss!!! It's sooooo heavy!
So, we'll just be opening blinds and turnin on your ac units(1400$ ac untis that blow icicles!!!!Brrrr!! )

Yes .cindy, the house had 8 feet of water. It had to be gutted and totally remodeled(but they were able to save the floors without and mold infestation!!!)
Nope, it's nowhere near where we live now! We live in .gretna now, now we *officially* reside in .new .orleans! Uptown bebe!! we have people that live on both sides of us, well on the left side there's a house still being renovated, but should be done this week.
It's def got more space than what we have now. ANd the ceilings are *hiiiigh*! The rooms are bigger too!

ok, I think I got everyone! lol!

Sarah
