What are your arguements? For the smacking children one, .I doubt they'll discount anything you say, considering you're going to be a mom and obviously have views on parenting.

i don't know which side i have to debate for yet, they're springing it on me to make matters worse lol so i've just been researching both, i don't know how well i'll do if i have to debate for smacking because i really don't believe in it so i won't exactly be all that persuading

I am anti-spanking, but an arguement pro-spanking could be that it can be effective if done right, like only if the child knowingly misbehaves, and is one quick, but well-placed, swat on the bottom as a physical reminder of the wrong-doing.
Or something.

I wish you luck! (I couldn't do it) What happens if your morning sickness flairs up and you are unable to make it? Would there be an alternative assignment you could do. Or would you have to do it on a different day, and just call more attention to it?

What do you have to debate about a dog? Confused

Morning sickness is long gone for me, thank god, i just have to cope with the back ache for this one! I'm doing one just on a general subject so i chose my dog because it seemed easy enough and we're given a topic to debate on and try to persuade the veiwer to believe our side and we happened to be given smacking

Good luck .Danni!!

I loved my .English classes, but I *hated* speaking in front of people.. I had to talk about animal testing once and took my rat in and did the talk with him on my shoulder, and another time I talked about musical instruments and took my trombone in and played it in front of everyone and got the p*ss taken outta me big time. Ack, I hate kids.
