Q: Feel's Like There Is Something Under My Left Rib Cage

I feel like there is something under my left rib cage,it's not pain just feels like something is pushing against me.
If I take my left hand and grab and squeeze in that location it will go away for a few seconds.
Been to the stomach doctor and he is clueless,he gave me some kind of antiacids to take.
It comes and goes.Sometimes I will eat and it will start up again.Thought maybe someone else has had this problem and has found out what has caused it.

Thanks Mike A.

Re: Feel's Like There Is Something Under My Left Rib Cage
Hi,
I know exactly what you mean. I have the same problem. I have been dealing with this problem for ten years. It feels like something is stuck there. Not painful, but extremely uncomfortable. Let me tell you, I also pushed oneday to get rid of it, and it does make if feel better. I now push daily. A doctor told me that it was air trapped in my stomach. You can actually here it when I push on it. It is terrible, and I am still going to doctors, to try and figure out how to get rid of it. If you have the same problem I have, take care of it now. It has gotten so much worse for me. It use to be a problem that comes and goes. Now, after ten years, it is everyday non stop. Take care of it now, so you don't have to go through what I go through.

i had other symptoms that sounded like IBS and GERD but this thing in my side (which happens mainly on my left hand side-right under ribs-but has happened on right hand side in the past) has been super annoying and made me not be my 'real' self. cause its around ..here and there.

im going to try some stronger gas relief medication-- what have you 2 tried?

Same left side bubbles
It seems like my entire stomach shifted to underneath my left rib cage. It all started a few years back when, after moving some heavy things, I noticed my belly button which used to be an inny was now and inny/outy. Half of my naval had a bulge. I can press on it and i will be squishy and go away but will come right back. After this problem I started to get pains on my lower right back and side off and on. Now the pain has shifted to my left side and it feels like bubbles of gas are rising up under my left rib cage also causing my left shoulder to be weak. What the heck is this thing? I feel like there is water in my chest and my stomach has not been the same since. It has also caused my psoriasis to flare up all over my body. When I drink water I feel like it is flowing directly into my chest cavity and not my stomach.I am going to try a small amount of food grade h2o2 to see if it makes a difference. I hope someone finds a cure for this. It is evidently causing a whole lot of stress on our bodies. could it possibly be an intestinal superbug?

re: left side bubbles
Ok, I chickened out on the h2o2 but I believe I have found the answer for all of our stomach ills. Well this one in particular. Google OPU HULI. Follow what the Lomi Lomi healer is doing and you will be cured. I did it to myself and my problem has dramatically been reduced. I will get a trained Lomi Lomi professional to do it next. I feel 90% better as if my body does not have to work so hard with it's digestion process. It appears that the stomach and intestines are able to shift around inside of us. The Hawaiians call it OPU HULI or stomach flip. Shifting them back to a more comfortable position is done by Lomi Lomi or massage in the stomach area. Good Luck everyone! It worked for me!

Interested in Lomi Lomi
Hi daveman:

I just read your post and I`m interested in knowing more about the Lomi Lomi massage. I feel my symptoms are very similar to yours and the others in here. I found nothing googling stomach flip. Did it really work for you? What kind of proffesional can practice that outside Hawaii? A chiropractor? I`m in South America. How about your symptoms? Did you feel shortness of breath and indigestion and water and bubbles in your stomach all the time? I do. Thanks for any help.

John.

Air bubbles in my stomach!
I have the same problem right below my left breast. It feels like some sort of air bubble. It's not painful, but very uncomfortable. It seems like only when I lay down, I feel it moving around. Expecially when I press on it. Iv'e been to the doctor and he said it was gas. Well I dont beleive gas pain is right under you breast. Its been there for almost a year now! Hopefully I will get some answers one day! ~Julie~

Air beneath my ribs....
It seems as though I'm not the only one that feels this. Mine used to be beneath my left rib cage and you could actually see my skin in one area go up and down when a 'bubble' was released.. that's what it felt like. and you can hear it ake little muffled popping noises. It went away for a long while, maybe around a year. BUT now it's back and it doesn't hurt as bad as before but its more uncomfortable. This time its under my right rib cage. I get shortness of breath sometimes. No air 'bubbles' this time, but it feels like the same thing.
