Hi Star
How much do you want to spend? What does he do for living? What are his interests? Does he like plays, music, or sports/
How about a couple's massage/dinner for two/and lunxuray for you!! Very Happy

A watch is always a good gift for the first year. If he likes sports, you can get him 2 tickets to a game and give to him during wine and dinner.

If he plays poker, you can get him a big poker set and play with him and the looser has to remove articles of clothing Smile

Those are really good ideas Negar. He loves sports, but there are no big sports teams nearby...a good 3 hour drive from hear and he doesn't even like any of the closest teams...so that's a no go. That was actually my first thought until I really thought about it.
We bought each other really nice jewelry when we were on our honeymoon. I got a ring and he got a watch.. so that's out to. I was reading on the internet that the traditional gift is paper, so now I am racking my brain trying to come up with something that has to do with paper. I think one of the gifts will be a "love" coupon book. Cute huh???

Yeah that would be cute... That's a good idea... Now just to find a sexy picture of myself...I don't think I have one except one from when I was in college and that was pre hubby. I will have to get the camera out to take an updated one.

I'm a little lost in getting dh an anniversary present, too. Last year was our first anniversary and we spent the whole day together walking around town and exploring little shops here and there. We were working on furnishing our house and didn't exchange gifts.

This year, we were talking about going out to a really nice restaurant, but dh said that he has a better idea and wants to surprise me. He also said that it would cost a lot of money. I need to come up with something that doesn't look pathetic next to whatever he is doing. I just want to show him how happy I am to be married to him and how much I love him.

Flying and biking are two of his hobbies and he already has anything he would want for those hobbies (short of a jet).

My husband and I celebrated our first anniversary last june. We decided that instead of buying each other something, we would go out of town for the weekend. We had a very nice anniversary. It was really nice being just the 2 of us, with no interruptions. Wink

That is what we are planning on doing, we are leaving tomorrow night for a three night vaca just the two of us. I am soooo excited about it I can hardly do any work today, hense the fact that I can't get off this site Laughing

I talked to him about it last night and also with my mom and I think we are just going to take the vacation and try to find something on our trip that we would both like...like maybe something for the house!! He said he already had something picked out, but wasn't going to get it until after we got back - payday Laughing I think since we are already spending a boat load on the hotel then me might as well just get nice cards and pick something out together.

Thanks ladies for your suggestions...
oh and Negar...still doing the love coupon book!!! Laughing
