Hello there,

I am in my third year of a BA (Hons) Performing Arts and I have decided for my last project I am going to compose and act in a play to do with mental health issues, but more specifically severe mental health like shizophrenia.
This will be a rather abstract piece (theatre of cruelty), it's not going to be your "normal" type of theatre as I want to create a different element to it as though it's set in another dimension or extra terrestial.

In order for me to create the main character realistically who suffers from shizophrenia I have come across your forum after a google search and was wondering if you would be so kind as to share some of your stories or how having shizophrenia makes you, through physicality and vocally.

I mean no offence by this post, so I hope I haven't crossed the line. I was thinking of trying to get a visit into a psychiatric hospital but this might prove awkward and timely and I only have 10 weeks to get this project done.

Thank you.
