question: I am a female with hair aorund my nipples and breasts. I really want to remove the hairs as they get me down. But I have heard that using creams/waxing/plucking in that area can cause breast cancer. Is this true? And how can I get rid of the hairs? |
The e-health reply was totally useless.
No, removing the hair around your nipples will not cause cancer. You don't worry about getting skin cancer on your legs when you shave them do you? Then why would someone think they'd get cancer from shaving a different part of their body?
As the ehealth reply said, cancer is caused by a change to the dna of a cell. Shaving or any other form of hair removal cannot affect the genes and dna inside of a cell.
