Is This An Anal Fistula, Constipation, Or What? Posted: 02-18-04 15:58pm
Warning, this subject is gross and
embarrassing so if you don't want to be
grossed out don't read this.
Okay, so I have this liquid discharge
stuff coming out of my anus. It has a bad
odor and is a lime green color. I've been
searching online for information about
this and I found that anal fistulas have
this as one of its symptoms. The other
symptoms are pain around the anus and a
swollen anus along with drainage of blood
and pain in the lower abdomen. I have no
pain or blood and I don't think my anus is
swollen but I wouldn't know what a swollen
anus feels or looks like. I only have one
symptom so i'm not sure if this is
something else. I also think I had
constipation a few days ago and don't know
if this is related. I had the symptoms of
passing a motion less often than usual,
having to strain to pass a motion, a
feeling of incomplete bowel emptying,
straining was ineffective and no motion
was passed and quickly felt full in
stomach when eating. I'm not sure if this
anal discharge is a side effect of that.
Constipation can be caused by a lack of
liquid so I thought this might just be
that liquid. And sometimes I will also
get diarrhea after eating. I usually get
it if I haven't eaten in a long time and
then do eat and sometimes I will get
diarrhea after only eating cereal for
breakfast or having a snack. I've also
read online that diarrhea is a sign of
constipation so i'm not sure if this is
related to it or not. I probably have
diarrhea once a weak and i'm not sure if
this is normal or if I have a weak stomach
or constipation. I don't think I have
constipation any more but I am very
concerned about this anal discharge. I
have no clue what is going on or what is
normal or what i'm supposed to do or
anything. And i'm not sure if this
information is important or not but i'm
also a female and a teen.

I think you may have irritable bowel
syndrome. The constipation and diarhea
go with it, and the anul leakage, but I
don't know about the green part of it. I
would definately see your doctor though to
make sure it isn't anything more serious.

If you had a fistula, you'd have an exit
hole somewhere near your anal opening that
leaks fluid. If this is just in the
inside, it's very doubtful it's a fistula.
If it is, it will not be easy to treat
and will require difficult surgery.
Fistulas actually don't really cause any
pain unless they are deep up into the
muscle, so I'm not sure where you read
that. And don't settle on an IBS
diagnosis, that's total crap and there's
no way to actually prove anyone has it,
it's just a convient theory of garbage so
doctor's can push people out the door,
give them pills or useless advice and
forget about it. However, this could be
an anal abscess if you're experiencing
pain there and in your lower abdomen. If
it is, you need to get it drained
immediately. Does it seem to be getting
worse?

sir, as per doctor i have the anaul
fistula inside 3 mm amd 3 piles massa. I
have problem that of cospitation
regularly.
beside mouth of the anus sallow appeared
after one or two days it brust and
dischare slightly blood. this happened in
a two or three month. once.
can i go for operation fhrough laser
availble at nagpur.
