Ok, I was going to wait til I was late to test, but I couldnt. I tests today and got a faint positive. Although the test I got is invalid after 5 min instead of 10. I did this to make sure I didnt get a false positive like last time.At first there was nothing then bam, a second line, but the thing is, it was dark at first then it moved acrossed the stip and faded but there is still a faint pink line where the test line should be. It wasnt a pee stick I used it was just a test strip. So if the line pops up all of the sudden a couple minutes after taking the test then fades a way a few later and there is still a faint pink line, is it a positive? i have never used this kind of test before. (It was less then 5 min when the line showed up). I dont want to get my hope up.

I'm confused. Is the test you used an hpt test? you say that it was just a test strip - what's the brand name?
Even if you got a faint pink line indicating a positive test, then I would say that you are pregnant, but just to be sure, I would go and see your doctor and have them administer a test (urine or blood). This way you can be positive!
Good luck Wink

Its an hpt, but it weird, its just a strip, I dont know if you have ever taken apart an hpt before, but the strip inside of it, that is what it is like, I dont know the brand name, I ordered them because it was cheaper, I took another this morning, and a second line showed up almost instantly, so its a for sure positive. I am waiting to get a couple more positives before going to the doctor and see if my period still doesnt come, but my cycles are irregular so I dont know when to expect it. but I will test again in 2 days, if that one is positive I will go to the doctor. Very Happy also the lines are really faint, so the one in a couple days should be darker and easier to see.

I know the kind she means.

it will show a dark line when your urine hits the dye strip that line will then move along the strip with your urine.

once your urine reaches the end of the strip, if there is still a line then it's a positive.

is it a pink dye or blue dye test?
the blue ones are notorious for false postives and negatives.
the pink are rather accurate.

it does tell you exactly how to use the test and shows you what a positive looks like on the pack.

well, i went to the doctor today and my urine test there was negative. I really dont know how I can get 3 pos hpt's then a neg urine at the doctor's. She told me to come back if my period still doesnt come. Or maybe Im not pregnant. I dont know the accuracy of test strips.

I would wait and see if you miss your period. But honestly hon, it's more likely that you were misusing the test strips at home or reading them incorrectly. The people at the doctor's office test urine for pregnancy all the time and know how to do it correctly, whereas someone at home is more likely to either test incorrectly or read the results incorrectly.

I'm not trying to burst your bubble - I hope I don't come across that way. I would wait and see if your period comes. If it doesn't, test again or request a blood test from your doctor. Good luck!

wow, what a wait its been, I didnt misread the strips. I am still getting positives from store bought tests ( more clear positives) . thanks anyway! Sorry If I seem a little irritable my back aches, and my abdomen is really achy too. Not only that but Iam tired and hungry and hot all the time. But I cant sleep. Will have to wait to get a blood test, I dont have insurance anymore. and there are no testing clinics where I live.
