Yes, you may use birth control pills to skip a menstrual period. In order to do this, you can start taking the pills right now. Take one pill each day. When you reach the 22nd day ,you have to throw away the last 7 pills from the present pack (because they are inactive) and start a new pack immediately. Then, take all the pills from the new pack in the same manner (one pill each day)... including the last 7 inactive pills. While taking the last 7 pills you should get your delayed period. Unwanted and unexpected spotting are possible when using this method. Skipping the period is not recommended as a frequent solution while on birth control.
