Q: a Relationship Can Help You Recover From An Eating Disorder

Hello. I had an eating disorder in college. It was caused by peer pressure (as strange as that sounds now to admit). I came across an article that speaks truthfully about the experience. It also recognizes the important role your significant other can play in curing your ED.

I would love to hear your feedback.

I wonder if anyone else has been influenced and swayed towards recovery through their relationships, as mentioned in the above article link. For me, relationships were key to both letting me become anorexic and for curing me. Looking back I can't believe how swayed I was by peer pressure. But, it happens.

Please let me know your feedback on the article's emphasis on looking towards your relationships in life for guidance.

Well, that can be good or bad... I t depends on how your deal with it and if your boyfriend knows about it or not and if it does how he deals with it...

Especially eHealthy
I feel when im happier , with someone or something i do better then being alone. So i think they can help. But if your hiding it from your significant other i think it would just get worse.

I Hope So
I really hope that people with eating disorders CAN be helped by their significant others. My girlfriend is struggling and I hope that I can help her
