Q: Tooth Aches With No Teeth

I have dentures and no teeth but lately I have terrible "toothaches."
I've been told two separate possible causes. One is that it is just like an amputee who still has the sensation of pain but the limb is gone. And two, that it is a sign of cardiac problems. The pain has been on the left side on top and bottom. It is as if I bit into ice cream and "froze" a sensitive tooth. Any input is appreciated as I have no insurance.

Hi
Hi, it does sound to me like nerve damage, or something dealing with your nerve ending. You stated this happens when eating ice cream or something cold. I would say, if you were to be experiencing this pain all the time, you would most definately need to see a physican. But only when its somehting cold or maybe hot, a change in temps?
