Help!
Wondering if anyone can help... I had an appendectomy 3yrs ago. Since the surgery I have had several problems, most related to pelvic pain, but also constant fatigue. I didnt relate any of my symptoms to the surgery since it was a few months after that I started have symptoms. I was diagnosed with depression, they switched my birth control 3 times thinking that was the cause of the pelvic pain.. I was even diagnosed with lymes by my primary, treated with 30 days antibiotic and then told by a specialist it wasnt lymes.. Weird thing was I was feeling better for a bit after the antibiotic.. Anyway. to get the the point, problems persisted and finally my obgyn decided to put a scope in my abdomen to see if he could find anything.. What he found was 5 metal clips attached to both my right and left ovaries. He says they were used during the appendectomy and his theory is that they migrated there after they fell off the appendiceal artery but believes they were placed properly. Im having a hard time swallowing this. One clip maybe.. but 5 and on both ovaries?? Have you ever heard of such a thing? Im so happy to finally be feeling better but does this sound like malpractice or just a total fluke?
