Gah i swear to god if i had a very long hard stick i would beat my grandma with it! On easter sunday when i very reluntantly agreed to go up to her house the first thing she said to me was 'oh danni you've put on far too much weight on your face' i mean come on it's not like i tried to! And then she kept on going on at me for finding out the gender because apparently thats' 'not how .God meant for it to be'. And then she kept having a go at me telling me how the way i dress, my piercings and hair colour in inapropiate for me to be a mother.

blahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
sorry but she needed that blah lol
it sucks but she's from an older generation and you know what english grandma's are like.

you also know that once you have Mika she'll be like "oh give her here", "you do it like this", "you shouldn't do that", "I always did this".

just be firm and tell here that things have changed since she had her babies and that you are comfortable in and of your self and will do the very best you can and will learn from your own trial and error, thank you very much.

I know you're gonna do fine - you've grown up in the past few months, and I know you will do the very best you can to give your daughter the very very best.

It just bugs me when she trys to force her eligion on me, she's a christian and has every right to be but i'm not and she won't accept that. it amazes me how she thinks a couple of bits of jewelery can affect parenting so much. Thanks kia, i just needed to get it out

you have no idea the grief i got/still get for having facial piercings & tattoos & blah blah blah. it has absolutely nothing to do with parenting. metal in my face does not affect how i take care of & raise my child. if only people could get that through their big fat heads.

you're gonna be a great mom, .danni.. don't let wrinkly old women get you down (like their boobs). Laughing

.at least we're young, stylish, & fabulous.. Wink .we'll be able to relate to our children & teach them that being different is beautiful.

Sorry your grandma is getting on you. Like Kia said she is from a different generation. My grandma wasn't .English, but she was set in her ways.
When my daughter was little, she used to tell me everything I was doing wrong. I just smiled, listened, and thanked her for the advise. I took what she said and used it if it made sense, and rid my brain of it if it didn't.
I hated hearing all the things I was doing wrong, or what I could do better, or how the new way we do things now is ridiculous. I could have screamed.
Today, I would give anything to hear her advise, because she is gone.
