Warning this post contains TMI.

OK well, as you know I've had wacky periods for a while now.
so today would be day 15 of my cycle.
yesterday it appeared that all the bleeding had stopped - had been dark red/brown for a couple days and fairly light flow more like spotting.

Now is your chance to stop reading...

So... I was feeling kinda horny a few hours ago and I went had some fun with my mini vibe. There was no penetration.

And now, I just felt "odd" so I went to the bathroom and passed a huge (I mean huge) clot. It was bigger than the piece of placenta I passed after my surgury with 0liver. and dark red in color.
I'm also bleeding bad again but it's bright fresh red again. And I'm cramping too
Shocked yes, I'm scared.
I've a gyn appt on the 26th

Yikes, .kia...I wish I had some answers for you. Is there any chance you could call the clinic and explain that you passed a very large clot and are now bleeding again? Maybe they could see you sooner. Good luck

Ok, maybe when the muscles contracted it dislodged a clot and that alowed some of the blood it was blocking to pass? Confused

I have had *wink* "muscle contactions" at the end of my cycle. Like, the evening I stopped bleeding and it would make me bleed a little. Mind you not to the extent you are explaining.

I'm pretty much reaching for straws here. But it makes sence in my head.

.mandi Wink
Oh yeah! that's right you go to the specialist. I forgot about that. Well I sure hope they figure something out, and can tell you what's going on. It's frustrating when your body is doing something strange and nobody can tell you why. Sad

Wow. I'd be inclined to go to A&E if I passed a clot that big - but I don't suppose they'd be able to shed any light on it before you see the specialist anyway.

Could you maybe ring up the dept and check they haven't had any late cancellations that means you could get seen sooner? If you explained the clot then they might try harder to get you seen.

That'll teach you to practice self abuse! Laughing

Do you or have you ever had cysts? I dunno if that could be it or what. Ive only ever pasta clot the size of a tennis ball right after i had jordynne. Maybe its leftover from long ago but they woulda seen it if youve had ultrasounds since then. Id say if you are bleeding pretty bad and feeling weak to go to the ER instead. I really dunno what it could be . Hopefully your ok. the 26th seems sooo far off. hopefully they find out what it is Smile

Sorry Mandi Embarassed I sat here thinking name name name name oh man what her name and I could only think of Adrienne Laughing sorry I had a blonde moment.

Jules: I'd rather suffer than go to our A&E - after all last time I was there they kept me for 11 hours, no food, no water to drink and no pain meds/treatment simply because I couldn't give a urine sample - the fact I was too dizzy to even sit up meant nothing Evil or Very Mad

Diane: never had cysts and I doubt it's "left over" that was quite some time ago.

Sorry to be nosey, but, what is the difference between a reproductive endocrinologist and the specialist you are seeing this month?

the specialist I see this month deals with gynaecology, a reproductive endocrinologist deals with fertility and fertility problems (and stuff like ivf etc).
Very closely related in the broader scale of things but some many difference when you get down to the technical stuff.
