Hemorrhoids Forum - Difference Between Anal Fissures And Hemorrhoids?

hi i know for sure i have one of these i been going through alternating diaherra and consitpation.besides going to the dr how can you tell the difference between an anal fissure and hemorrhoids?

Hi,

I can only speak from my experience but I have had both anal fissures and hemorrhoids. i found my anal fissure produced far less blood but was considerably more painful. the few times i have had hemorrhoids the pain was minimal but there was significantly more blood both on the toilet paper and in the bowl. this aint science but it's how it felt to me.
