Hi all, in my continuing search for relief from my TMJ symptoms I have gone back to my TMJ dentist. He made me a series of splints last year which I did not wear consistently cause they were HUGE, I was working then and I couldn't even talk or eat with them in. Now he is going to try this semi-permanent one that looks like veneers, is thin and gets glued in. If it works they take it out and go to reconstructive dental work to correct my bite. I talked to a woman there who has been wearing it and she said she hasn't had a headache since she got it in. I figure this way I will know if rebuilding my bite will work or not before I commit to it. I also figure I need to keep trying whatever is reasonable since I am at this point on pain meds most of the time , and they arent even getting rid of all the pain. Also I have a new symptom,dizziness, isn't that a fun one. : I am getting this new splint next week. wondered if anyone else here ever tried it? My dentist says it is pretty new.
