not sure if it's true but you do learn how to control your breathing with siging lessons so it could help. I sing back ups for a couple of groups and I have mild asthma but never really took lessons.

I would have thought that breathing exercises wouls help, but only a few weeks ago I heard of a lady in the UK who is having great results with people that have that sleep disorder and she gives then singing lessons...and apparently with amazing results...the people dont have to wear those masks while sleeping....

I've heard of this too, and as much as I heard results are inconsistent. Some swear on it, saying singing really improved their breathing, reduces their attacks (both severity and number of attacks). Others say it didn't help them a bit.
I guess it's personal, but then again - everything about asthma is this way, isn't it?
