Q: Numbness & ache in limbs, lower back
asked by: DoctorQuestion on April 10th, 2007
For the last 3-6 months I have been waking up in the middle of the night numerous times due to my waist/hips/lower back, sometimes legs and arms numb and achey. Any idea what it could be from, or what I should ask the Dr. to check for? Thank you!

You can request an X-ray image of the whole spine to exclude spondylosis as a possible cause for the numbness and ache in the extremities and back. If everything is ok with the spine, then anxiety might be the cause of your symptoms.
