also, i have really bad skin that gets worse around my period. it bothers me SO MUCH. everyone has suggested birth control. does bc make you gain a lot of weight?

I was on birth control for almost 10 years and never gained or lost any weight. However, keep in mind that birth control affects every woman differently.

.if you ask any doctor they will tell you that birth control does not cause weight gain but it does increase your appetite. .since you are on so many meds that could cause the problems you are having. .if you want to get on a bc pill you shoudl talk to you doctor and see which pill will be best for you and you personal situation.

Remember. appetite increase does not mean that you will 100% gain weight.

Everyone should strive for 30 minutes to one hour of exercise every day, or else anyone will gain weight..

We gain weight simply by growing older, so you need to start dieting and exercise now.

a good diet, and lots of exercise will stop any weight gain, and you will look and feel better.

Yes you can gain weight from anti-depressants and also from birth control. If you do gain weight from either, diet and exercize do not necessarily make it go away. My suggestion is talk to you doctor about the side effects. Any medication which messes with your hormones can cause a whole array of side effects like weight gain, appetite, mood, acne, whatever. Not that there aren't good ones, you just need to find what works for you! And different birth control methods have different hormones which have different side effects. Talk to you doctor!
