Q: Birth Control ??

Is it a mistake to discontinue taking birth control pills without consulting your doctor? What are the negatives to discontinuing BCP's?

.you should always complete the pill pack you are on but if you feel that you no longer want to take the pill then it is up to you. .by competing the pill pack you are letting your body stay on a regular schedule. .if you quite mid-cycle it throws you entire body off schedule and might take much longer to regulate.

.is their any specific reason for not continuing the pill?

You can become pregnant immediately, so do remember that!

Also, each BCP is different, so just because one does not work for you, does not mean that there is not one out there that will.
