Denied Insurance For Dieting And Exercising *shock*

It's laughable! Why? Well, let me tell you a bit about me first. I'm 35yo, male. Up to about 1.5 years ago I was ~315lbs. Never really cared for the well being of my health too much. Not that active either. Tried to get health insurance. No joy. The statements were all the same. "Sorry sir but, your weight won't allow us to give you coverage" "Well, how much do I have to weigh?" "Can't tell you, sorry". I tried 6 different companies. It was the same story. These days I work out 6 hours a week, cardiovascular exercises with limited weights. I eat a hell of a lot better too. I'm not so concerned with how much I eat rather I focus on what I eat. Eat more frequently, smaller meals and snacks. Over the past year and a half I've lost 55lbs. I could have lost a lot more had I cut my caloric intake drastically but, I've done the yoyo diets. Lose a lot fast, gain it back and more almost as fast. My philosophy is slow steady, LIFESTYLE change. I feel great! So, I figure I'm under whatever limit the health insurance companies have. I call around to those companies I've already tried, mainstream companies first. "Yes sir, your weight is within our coverage weights. However, underwriting has determined that we can't substantiate the reason for your weight loss. Until your weight stabilizes for at least 6 months to a year we are unable to offer you coverage." What the F*%#?!? I've worked my butt off for over a year losing this weight and theres another hoop to the insurance game? Hey I'm not complaining about losing the weight. I did it more for myself than the insurance companies. So, this is where I'm at. In limbo. No insurance. I'd like to keep losing more weight. My goal is 220lbs. I'm a tall guy. My ideal weight per the government charts is 180lbs. Dunno if I want to be that skinny. Still, I'm left wondering if when I decide to stabilize are they going to tell me another excuse?!? Maybe, "Sir, we know you've been exercising and dieting to lose weight from our past discussions and we are unable to offer you insurance coverage because you haven't lost any weight in the past 6 months to a year. This is highly irregular for a person attempting to lose weight. Unfortunately, there is no way for you to prove that you are or aren't trying to lose weight. Perhaps in another 6 months to a year we'll have another inane reason to deny you insurance.".

Any suggestions?

Short term major medical plan until you qualify for something longer term.
