Is My Lump In My Throat Due to Stress? Posted: 04-08-07 04:53am
hi i am curious whether my sensation in my
throat is due to stress or anxiety.
i have the feeling that something is stuck
in my throat. it is not sore and i can
swallow foods and liquids fine but i have
trouble swallowing my own saliva. my lymph
npodes are not swollen and i am not
coughing up blood. i quit smoking recently
having smoked occasionally. sometimes it
feels like the lump or feeling is moving
around. i was nervous that it may be a
cancer but i do not have the rest of the
symptoms to match.
could someone please help.... much

First, are you sure this is not the Adam's
apple? Lol. Second, were there times it
went away, and when was it? If you
remember when it was gone, try repeating
the same moments, ex. relaxing. Is it
obvious, and could it be seen? If yes,
contact a doctor. If not, think of other
things to distract yourself, try watching
some movies, or buying something you
really like- it usually helps if it's a
technology based item- PC, Laptop, Mobile
Phone...etc

a smoker and never was a smoker.

Me too! I have something similar.
I see a red bump close to my tonsils, I
saw my doctor month ago, he said what he
sees is just a tissue build-up. I needed a
second opinion so he refers me to a ENT. I
call the ENT and they couldn't schedule to
see me for another month! I think my
stress is builiding up and my throat
symptom feels worse than
ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
