If i contracted genital herpes (most likely type 1) from my boyfriend from oral sex, is it okay to receive oral sex since he already has the virus in his mouth?

I've always wondered the same thing...but I think that genital herpes and herpes of the mouth are two different viruses. I'd check in with a doctor first, although receiving oral sex is certainly worth the wait.

.their are two different types of herpes, 1 and 2. .although 1 is typically oral and 2 genital they can be on both areas, with less harsh side effects. .since he already has it orally and you genitally it no longer matters if he gives you oral sex. .you already have the virus and can no longer contract the same one again.
