I had a girlfriend years ago who seemed very nice, a bit eccentric. She did exaggerate a bit too. years passed and little by little she had told me many things about her past, e.g. she claimed her dad who was dead and was a builder lived a secret live as a private dective. She went off to study and said she was studying medicine, even brough back the books at weekend but was doing nothing of the sort. many elabotate stories all to test did i trust what she told me.
for the final year she led me to believe she was diagnosed with lukemia and going to die. did she believe this herself? she watched as I cryed daily for her immenent death, we went to doctors and hospitals, i waited outside of course. All was to be a big secret and of course when i couldn“t go any further I told her friends and the let me know her history of imgining things.
I left never to talk again to her. what mental disorded did she have? I did not understand it and just said she was crazy. any experience of this?

The hospital thing verges on Munchausen's, but that doesn't sound like the main issue. The main issue sounds like she just likes messing with people, I wouldn't say you could categorize this as anything really.
