We are moving to Boise on Tuesday. Can I just say that packing stinks. We have moved so much in the past 15 months from Arizona to Ohio, from Ohio to WA and now from WA to ID. I still haven't become a master packer. It's amazing how much junk you can accumulate in such a short time.

The good thing about moving is that it gets you a little organized or perhaps makes you feel more organized. Each time we move, we seem to accumulate more boxes marked "miscellaneous". You know, those crazy little items that you want to hang on to "in case" you find the missing link or you don't want to throw away because you may use it someday. I guess I am a slight pack rat. I spent many years in school and kept most of the papers and books. My goodness, I have many files of nothing but papers that I want to keep for my job but have yet to really look at. What in the heck is wrong with me?? I need to go through a major purge!!!!

Anyone relate?????

yeah. when i moved here a couple years ago, i had too many boxes marked miscellaneous. It's crazy. I keep everything. When we move again, I'm going to throw that isn't necessary in the trash. I hate moving.

Hey Karin is the anxiety getting to you? I have lived around Boise for 31 years and I would have a hard time thinking about moving. I like it here and I hope that you will come to like it as well. I couldn't imagine what you are going through, we have of coursed talked about your move and I bet things are just a roller coaster of emotions right now. Once you get here I hope that you can relax a few days and become a bit more at ease. Take care and PM me and let me know how things are going.

Kay: Every move I tell myself that with the next move I will get organized and throw away. It's quite sad, actually. This home is temporary, so I am not going to unpack a lot unless I tackle those dang misc. boxes!! Papers are my nemesis!! I am sure the excuses will come and the procrastination will set in or should i say continue.

Vanessa: Yep, you definitely have the moving experiences. Why did you move so much?? That is crazy. I would think you had to move because of the military but you said it was just you?? Were you subconciously preparing to be a military wife?? haha

Heather: You are so wonderful. I will definitely call you when I arrive in town...give or take a few day for me to settle in. It's just so crazy how we are going to be in the same town. You are such a blessing! My emotions are not really crazy right now because of the stress of moving. In fact, I am just getting really excited about moving from this extremely small apt to a house for almost the same $$$!!!

Sunflower: We are all want to change something in our lives out of boredom and we have already tried the hair thing - didn't work. We have tried hobbies...didn't work. So, the next step is just to move....j/k bad joke

I can't wait to hear from yo when you get here. I have already told my boys about you and your family they are excited to have a new friend to possibly visit. That is great that you found a house for the same price as your apartment you will have plenty of room for the items you have boxed away as miscolaneous maybe. I will have to add to your items with a house warming gift when you get here. By the way what is your little boys name and have you found a pre-school or daycare that you might look into when you get here? I have not had the chance to ask my boss so if you still need me to I will ask around. Well have a great evening and we will talk soon.

My little boys name is Nathan or Nate. We haven't found a preschool but I am going to wait until I find out where I will be working. Since we don't know where we are going to live, I will find a place close to my work place. It makes more sense.

Nathan adores older children and completely looks up to them! I can't wait to see them together.

I am very annoyed right now with packing because my husband and I have very different personalities. I am a type A personality and feel that everything needs to be done, now. He is very laidback and feels we can wait until the very last minute. Each time we have moved, I have practically packed up the house. This time, I don't have the same energy being pregnant and all. At least I have been getting some exercise and have an excuse to eat more "goodies!!"

When is the official move date? I am alot like you get it done now and Elisha is laid back wait till the last minute and throw it all in boxes. Literally take his arm and sweep into a box close it, tape it and throw in the moving truck. My youngest, he is 5, will addore playing with Nate. Does Nate like playing with trucks, cars, airplanes and such? My oldest on the other hand likes to watch TV and play video games, he is pretty laid back he will play though as long as those other items are not around.

talk to you soon
