Q: Help! Tooth Filling Redone 3x On Same Visit

4 days ago, I went in to have a small cavity taken care of. The old filling (10 years) on this tooth was huge. My dentist was on vacation, so another dentist from another practice (specialized in cosmetic dentistry)substituted. He removed as much of the old filling and filled it with Amalgam. He wasn't happy with the 1st try, said it wasn't completely closed. So he removed the new filling and filled it again (2nd time). This time, the problem was that he couldn't get the floss between this tooth and the one next to it, which was a crown. So he redo the filling for the 3rd time! Drilled the new filling out & filled it. I thought I was going to die. I've never had a filling redone, ever. Anyways, now the gap between this tooth & the crown is a bit too big, that food always gets stuck there & my gums are a bit bruised & have a slight discoloration in that particular gap. Any advise would be most welcome. Thanks in advance.
