Q: Off Pill For a Month...help!

I missed a week of my pill just because I don't normally take my "sugar" pills and due to planning an upcoming wedding....I just "forgot"
. I was told by numerous people to refrain from taking my birth control that month and continue regularly the Sunday after I get my next period. The problem is....when will I get my period? Normally I would have had it by now. What should I do? Is my body all out of whack now?
