Q: Question???

I had figured my days of ovulation to be March 25th-26th. On March 28th I had to go to the doctors for a bone density scan. They require a blood test for pregnancy the day of the test because of radiation. The test came back negative. I was wondering if there is still a chance of pregnancy this month or would the blood test be postive that quick if I conceived on the 25th or 26th? I have no idea.

Thanks

no, that would be too early for even a blood test, beacuse you actually wouldn't yet be pregnant.
your body does not make hcg (pregnancy hormone) until the embryo implants which is typically about 10 days after conception.

if you knew you had to have the bone scan, it would have been sensible to avoid trying to get pregnant for that month.

now, the only thing you can do is wait an see if your period turns up. If it doesn't take a test.
if the test is positive, speak to your doctor about the possible effects on the fetus from the scan.

if it is negative wait a week and test again if your period still doesn't show.
If that is also negative, then you'll need to get checked out by your ob/gyn/doctor.
