Q: Noisy Stomach And Loose Stools With Clear Mucus

I'm a 30 yr old mother who recently started having digestive problems. After I eat my my stomach starts making these weird growling noises which seem to go to my colon and then is followed by very loose stools or diahrrea that has clear mucus accompanying it. At first I thought I had the stomach flu and that it would go away. It happens everyday and I am starting to freak out and think that something is seriously wrong with me. At first I had slight stomach cramps when it all started but those soon went away. I have no pain, just a loud stomach and grumbly colon with loose stools with clear mucus. I am hoping to find a possible solution as to why this is happening to me. I recently have been under alot of stress and I know my eating habits have changed a little. Even though I have started eating better the symptoms still continue. I'm scared to go anywhere because of the noises. scared to eat before I go anyplace, and I've lost sleep over this. Please Help!

Watch for blood in your stools and definitely see your doctor. Patients who develop colitis often know virtually nothing about colitis and at the beginning think it is just a long-lasting flu.

The doctor should test your blood for white blood cells, platelets, and hemoglobin, etc.
