you can eat any seafood and fish while pregnant. as long as its cooked well and fresh. certain fish has to be eaten less often due to the mercury levels..but they are still edible ...

Eating seafood during pregnancy is ok unless you have a seafood allergy. I'm allergic to shellfish, mainly shrimp, and I had to stay away from it while I was pregnant. You should watch out for fish that are high in mercury b/c lots of mercury isnt good for the baby.

certain fish are not safe to eat at all. the fda advises all pregnant and lactating women to avoid shark, swordfish, king mackerel and tilefish. these all have dangerously high levels of mercury that most pregnant and nursing mothers cannot break down due to lower immunity. seafood that is safe to eat during this time (though also should be limited to 2-3 times a week, at 12 ounces a serving) are ; * Anchovies
* Clam
* Crab
* Herring
* Oyster
* Pollock
* Salmon (Pacific)
* Sardine
* Squid
* Tilapia
(all must be very well cooked, and if possible, frozen before cooking.

medications that are safe during pregnancy are Tylenol, suddafed, robitussin and benadryl, but they MUST say non-drowsy. any medication that induces drowsiness is not safe for the baby.
