Q: Missed Period?

My boyfriend and I are sexually active, and no matter what, I always make him wear a condom. He says he always checks to be sure nothing broke, etc. However, this March, I have missed my period completely. And I took an at home pregnancy test that came up negative. I am still waiting until April to take another and I am planning on getting a blood test anyway, but I was wondering, is skipping your period for a month normal for young adults? And if you can think of anything else I missed to inquire about, please give me as much advice as possible!!

Missed periods can be caused by many other things, like stress, changes in weight, sickness, new medication or just an imbalance of your hormones. If you do another test and it's negative, have the blood test done to be sure, and if that's negative see your doctor about what else it could be.

Although it may not be pregnancy, do remember that no form of contraception is 100% effective, so consider using another form of contraception too, like the pill.

Try not to worry too much about it though, or that could delay your period even more. Good luck!

**edited to add.. my periods took a few years to settle down, and yes I did miss some altogether in that time.
