And so goes another month at this mind boggling game of ttc. This is so upsetting right now. I thought I might have some chance this month, but no, that nasty old witch showed up this morning.

So I will now be taking a break for the next three months. Hopefully this break will be all that I need to heal myself not only physically, but emotionally as well. I plan on starting to chart while we are using protection, just so I can get the hang of it and I can start to see a pattern and I will be ready when we are able to start ttc again. I also plan on making myself healthy and loosing some weight. I need to do that anyways if I want to get my but in a baithing suit this summer. The way things are right now, it would have to be a full body suit to get me out on the beach. I would like to lose about 15 pounds so I can focus on achieving this goal while I am taking a break from ttc.

Good luck to all of you for the next few months.

I'm sorry sweetie. It will be good to set a goal to keep your mind off things. Even if you do decide to take a break from ttc, that doesn't mean you have to stop coming on here. We would still love to hear from you! Good luck with the weight loss!

I'm sorry Star. The charting sounds like a good idea. Sign up for www.fertilityfriend.com. It's really handy and will help you determine when you are fertile. A good 3 months of charting will definitely help you pinpoint your fertile times.
Hang in there!

Thank You Ladies!!!!
I am excited to start charting. I read that you are supposed to start on the first day of your cycle, but how was I supposed to do that if I didn't know I would be starting until after I got out of bed. Oh well, I guess I will just start as of day 2.

Mc - I don't plan on going anywhere, I find that I am completely addicted to this site and I can't go a day without looking at the posts. Thank you for wanting me to stay though - I feel so luved!!!

DPrssed - how is the clomid doing for you so far? hopefully you will get that bfp this month.

I'm so sorry star. I wish you the best in losing weight and getting healthy. I keep saying that I need to make losing weight a bigger priority. Exercising justing isn't a pary of my routine right now and I need to change that.

I wish you the best during your break. You are right, now is a great time to start charting. Missing the first temp is really no big deal. Just make sure you count it as day one and leave the temp off. The first few days of your AF your temp can remain a tad high anyway. It won't affect your abilitly to tell when you ovulated. Have you read the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility? If you haven't, I highly recommend it. It has some excellent information in it.

So I should count my day one as yesterday since I actually started af yesterday, but just omit the temp for yesterday. Then use today's temp and mark it as day 2? I took my temp this morning before I got out of bed and it was 98.17. I thought it was kinda high, since my normal temp when I'm not sick is like 97.3 or something. I have always had a low temp. I thought it might be because I woke up sweating this morning. I have had really bad allergies and have had a hard time sleeping lately.

I will definitely look at that book. I'm sure it is packed with info. Do you think I can get it at Borders or somewhere like that?

Yes, today should be day 2. If you count it as day 1 your CD count will be off. Your temp can be a little higher during AF because there is still some progesterone hanging around. Mine doesn't usually get back to normal until around CD 5 or so. I always have night sweats during the 2WW and during AF. It drives me crazy.

I would think you should be able to get the book from there. I am currently living overseas so I had to order mine from Amazon. I am trying to remember the authors name but it has slipped my mind. It is Toni something. If you google "Taking Charge of Your Fetility" the website should come up. You can also chart from there. You pay and then download the software but I did the trial and didn't like it as much as fertility friend. Plus, fertility friend is free unless you decide to go with the VIP.

Charting can get tedious at times. I have been doing it for over a year now. But I have to say that the information that I have learned about my cycles has been great. Plus, my doctor was able to get valuable info from them as well and she recommends that I continue to chart.

Hi Star
Hi there
The clomid is going fine. I didn't have any symptoms, which is good I guess? I 'think' I ovulated? And dh and I were in Playa del Carmen for the whole week, so I didn't temp, we just b'd everyday...thank god for Preseed!
I am on cd 20, and my cycle is usally 26 days long...so we will see!!! I started feeling some weird pulling feelings down there today, with a little bit of pink. Hopefully it's not the endo and implantation instead!
Keep your fingers crossed for me that I won't need IUI afterall!

ps. I was in your lovely city on my way to Cancun. It was crazy...as 50,000 people had to spend the night in your airport because of the snowstorm in the North East. I thought of you when I was there Smile
