I'm kinda embarassed to write this, but I can't find answers anywhere. My wife has been on the pill for over a year and now she is getting spotting every so often......Is this normal? I'm always worried about pregnancy, is the pill less effective when this happens? Being a guy I know nothing about nothing, so i'm a bit worried. Embarassed Embarassed

If shes been on it that long, she should know to go to the doctor... Her dose may need to be tweaked.. Spotting usually means that the pill isn't working right.. From what i've heard.

Yeah, she could have missed a pill which would make her spot, she could be pregnant or her body just changed and she needs different hormonal levels. I was on a pill for seven years when my body started to reject it. Then I had to try about four different pills until I found one that worked for me. She should definately go to the doctor.
