Cerebral palsy/paralysis during delivery Posted: 03-27-07 08:20am
At 24 I had a son with cerebral palsy. We
lost him at 4 years of age. Now at 29 we
are trying to get pregnant again but I am
scared that something will go wrong with
the pregnancy. I want to know what my
chances are of having a healthy baby?

Cerebral paralysis is an acquired
condition which is due to brain damage
that usually happens during delivery.
Cerebral paralysis is not a genetically
inherited condition so you probably have
fair to exceptionally good chances of
having a healthy baby... if there are no
complications during the pregnancy and
delivery.
