Internal Bleeding After Hysterectomy Posted: 03-25-07 18:03pm
My name is Mellisa Dressler and I’m 25
years old. I had a Laporscopic Guided
Vaginal Hysterectomy on 3/14/07. They
removed my cervix and Uterus. On 3/16/07 I
was discharged from the hospital and was
feeling great. On 3/18/07 I was realy
dizzy, nauaeaus, and had horrible shoulder
pain. My husband took me to ER where my
blood pressure was dangerously low. They
did a Cat Scan and found a quart of blood
in my stomach. I had another surgery to
drain over a litter of blood and to
repatch a incision that was seeping. I
also had to have two blood transfusions.
I’m home now, but I still feel very
sick. Has this happen to anyone else? I
have been developing new symptoms, but at
this point I have no idea how I should be
feeling. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there.
I had the same type of hysterectomy
recently. I am also having trouble with
bleeding. I went in for a two week
check-up and all seemed well. Then I
started bleeding. I've been in again and
was told everything is fine, but now I
seem to be bleeding even more. I don't
want to go in over and over and be looked
at as some hypochondriac or something but
I am concerned. I am a teacher and school
starts soon and I'm feeling really drained
and I'm worried about the bleeding.
I hope everything gets better now for you.

realize that I'm not crazy here...this
really can happen.

I too just had a vaginal hysterectomy. I
didn't even make it out of recovery when
my pulse went sky high and my BP dropped
so low. They went back in and I had
internal bleeding. They fixed it and I
got to come home 2 days later. I have a 8
inch bikini line cut that hurts like
crazy, I also had to get 4 units of
blood. How long am I going to feel like
total crap??
