Hey ladies.

First, let me thank everyone for the comments on the pictures!!!!!!!!!!

Second, lemme explain what happened.

Wednesday, during the day, she had been *bookoo* cranky. If she wasn't crying, she was sleeping.(totally not my child)
Wed afternoon I was cookin, I had *just* posted the pics, and .baron had just got home from work.
Oni had eaten some diced carrots, and her cup of milk. She was chompin on a cracker, when all of a sudden she became extreemly lathargic.
So we paged her Dr. and we rushed her to the .e.r. When we got there she was non responsive!!
They rushed her to the back, and started doing *loads* of tests!!
They pricked her about 7 times to get blood and about 5 more times for an .i.v (my poor baby!) Then they tried to cathaderise her about 6 more times.

She was screaming, but not fighting them. They couldn't get the cathader.

SO then, still stumped, they starting thinking it could be .menengitis!!! Shocked So they asked me to sign for a spinal tap!!!

After that, they did a cat scan, and ordered an .e.k.g.

They couldn't admit her there, so they took me and her in an ambulance to another hospital.

When we got to the hospital, they realized that she had a severe ear infection and a heart murmer. But nothing could explain her non responsiveness.

The next morning, she woke up like nothing had happened. And the Dr. said, "sometimes babies do this. They go from 100% to -5 within minutes. Her body could be shutting down to allow her to heal. But we're gonna run another test and check for .west .nile." Everything came back neg. Rolling Eyes

Sooooo.....they let us go today, at like 1.30 with an appt with a cardiac specialist for .monday.

I probably won't be on very often. Besides her being sick, I have hella planning to do!!!

Thanks again for all of yalls support!!!

Apparently not... I mean I can't understand it. At all.

I *was* a wreck. I mean I was *horrified* at her maybe having .viral .menengitis!!!!!

But, nothing. bleeech!! I'm sooo aggravated.

At 1st they were thinking seizures. But ruled it out because she hadn't seized in the 2 hours she was there.

Horrible.

Wow...what a traumatic situation for a mother to go through! I am glad that she is doing better! I wish they could have figured out what happened. Did they tell you anything to look for? Or are you just gonna rush her to the .E.R. everytime she wants to sleep in? (That's what I would do. I tend to panick easily Laughing )

lol...there was def. a difference between her sleepin and the way she was.

SHe wouldn't respond to anything.

I have to looks for future signs of her being lathargic. THe second I think she's acting "funny", I Have to bring her in.

Sucks!

poor baby...
try not to worry too much...my son had a febrile seizure when he was about 18 mos. old... it was caused by an ear infection...the fever came on VERY VERY fast..from normal to above 104 within seconds....it sounds just like what you went through with your daughter....we had been in toys r us shopping and he was happy one second, then whined for about a minute and then completely passed out, head back, eyes open..we had to tell the store twice to call 911 because I seriously thought he had died...no response whatsoever, and he wasn't shaking like you would expect with a seizure...anyway, it turned out to be an ear infection and a febrile seizure...we were told that once he had one, he was susceptible to them through age 5 and to bring down every fever he had as quickly as possible (not always advised because apparently a fever can be beneficial in helping to fight infection?..don't quite remember what they told us)..anyway, he is 9 now and has never had a seizure since...good luck with your little princess...they sure can give us a scare at times, huh?

Mia went to cardiac specialist for her murmer and other heart problems. it's pretty simple.

i think that she will be fine.

give her huge kisses for me and .Mia.
